# Tarazu > Tarazu is a free, browser-based decision-intelligence app that helps product teams rank a backlog with RICE scoring, see the effort-versus-impact tradeoff, and record why each decision was made. Tarazu (from the Hindi/Urdu word for a balance scale) runs at https://tarazu.app. It works fully in guest mode with no account — data stays in the browser's local storage — and optionally syncs to the cloud when you sign in. AI features are powered by Anthropic's Claude models. Designed and built by Kristen Martino. ## Product - [Weigh what to build next](https://tarazu.app/): Tarazu turns scattered requests, feedback, and data into ranked, defensible product decisions — then learns from what you ship, so every call gets sharper. - [How Tarazu works](https://tarazu.app/how-it-works): How a Tarazu decision works — listen, score, decide, ship, learn — with the mechanics behind each, from the RICE formula to the quadrant boundaries. - [Pricing](https://tarazu.app/pricing): Tarazu is free today, with no card and no account required. Here is exactly what that includes, and what the planned paid tiers would add. ## Guides - [RICE scoring: the formula, a worked example, and where it breaks](https://tarazu.app/frameworks/rice): How to calculate a RICE score, with a worked example and the arithmetic shown — plus what the formula hides and how it compares to ICE and weighted scoring. - [Tarazu vs. prioritizing in a spreadsheet](https://tarazu.app/vs/spreadsheets): What spreadsheet prioritization costs, a capability comparison across four tool categories, and when a spreadsheet is still the right answer. - [Notes on product decisions](https://tarazu.app/blog): Writing on prioritization, estimation, and decision records — the parts of choosing what to build that frameworks alone do not cover. ## Reference - [Frequently asked questions](https://tarazu.app/faq): Direct answers about Tarazu: what it costs, whether you need an account, which AI models it uses, where your data lives, and how RICE scoring works here. - [About Tarazu](https://tarazu.app/about): Why Tarazu exists, who built it, and the conviction behind it: prioritization deserves a purpose-built system rather than another spreadsheet. ## Optional - [Full reference for LLMs](https://tarazu.app/llms-full.txt): Expanded description, the scoring model, the data and privacy model, and the full FAQ. - [Open the app](https://tarazu.app/app): The workspace itself. Guest mode, no sign-up.
